Applications from
Indian citizens to fill up 24 (Twenty four ) Nos. of posts of Subject Matter
Specialist under the Krishi Vigyan Kandras of Assam Agril. University.
All the
posts are temporary and are likely to continue so long as sanction for its
continuance is available from ICAR. Reservations shall be as per existing
rules. Place of posting will be anywhere in Assam under the jurisdiction of AAU
and they will be governed by new CPF rules. Interested candidates may apply in
prescribed format which can either be downloaded from the University website
www.aau.ac.in or may be collected from the office of the Registrar on payment
of crossed IPO of Rs. 10.00 (Rupees ten) only in favour of Registrar, AAU,
payable at Jorhat on all working days before 3 p.m. Last date of receipt of
duly completed forms at the office of the Registrar, AAU, Jorhat is on January
07/2013.
The applicants who applied
earlier as per advertisement No. 3/2012 need not apply again.

Pay scale: Rs. 15,600- Rs.
39,100 + GP Rs. 5,400/-PM
Discipline: Agronomy/Horticulture/Soil
Science/Plant Protection /Extn. Education/Agril. Economics/ Animal Science/
Home Science/ Fishery Science.
Essential Qualification: i) Bachelors degree in
Agriculture/Veterinary Science & A.H./Home Science/Fisheries Science as the case may be.
ii) 55% marks or an equivalent OGPA of 3.00 in
4.00 point scale or 7.00 in 10.00 point scale at the Master’s Degree level from
an Indian university or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
General Instruction:
A. Age limit for the posts other than 38 years (maximum) as
on 01.01.2013. The age is relaxable by the number of full years of service
rendered in AAU/ICAR/CSIR/DST/ SAUs and other Govt. Institutions up to a
maximum of 5(five) year.
B. Submission of application forms:
Application form in prescribed
format is to be submitted to the Registrar, AAU, Jorhat on or before January /
2013. BANK DRAFT of Rs.150/- in case
of general candidates and Rs.75/- in case of SC/ST candidates must accompany
with the application forms.
Reservation shall be as per
Government of Assam Rules.
In service candidates must
send their application through proper channel.
Applications received late and
found incomplete will not be considered.
A self addressed stamped
(worth Rs.6/-) envelope size( 23 cm x 10 cm) should be sent along with the
application form.
